Last, put your focus on building partnerships. When you go to other countries, you’ll meet a lot of interesting people. Go out of your way to always be friendly and start talks. If you can, make friends with a few other students so that you can stay in touch when you go back home. When you can keep these relationships going over time, they become the most rewarding part of your trip. This is because having ties in a place makes it easier to give back in the future.
